I'm sad. It was a special gift.
I had overpacked the cup cabinet so when Lily opened it, a foolish plastic cup came flying out and knocked my precious mug from the counter to the floor. Lily was horrified so I had to shrug and say, "Just a cup; no big deal."
We collected the pieces, but I can't glue it. Not sure what to do with it. We might go throw it in the big river. Let the river turn it smooth and murky colored.
That's right....foolish plastic cup! Love that description...
ReplyDeleteAlso love the river idea for the mug's resting place...so sorry your mug is broken, though.
Bummer. But, true, just a cup. And of course a very good excuse to go shopping for a new mug. I am very well-trained at shop therapy; it is my #1 method of making lemonade out of lemons. And of course, let's look at this metaphorically---Kali at work, burning your house down to make room for the next thing. I love that fake crow in the corner. I have a few of those around my house. Soooo fun! Caw!
