Seeds

Hi there,
I've been gone for a long time.  I got behind in regularly updating this blog around October and never found the time to catch up. This was the longest gap in my blogging here since I started in late 2008. I didn't know if I would ever catch up or if the urge was gone, but I missed it. I love to look back and see all that we've been doing. It is a way to remember and acknowledge some of the beauty and chaos of everyday life as it passes by so quickly.
So, I did some catching up.

I've been busy with my business Crow Lady Healing
and trying to figure out how to integrate that into my life.

I hope you have been well.
It's nice to be back.

Really? It seems impossible we would need these anytime soon.

                                                                          But we will.

Roses

Rob went all out this year and got me some roses.  Aren't they beautiful?  Not only did he order them to come on Valentine's day, but he bought me bright roses. I love them! (Usually he buys me carnations and mums because he likes them.)

Very nice.
They are lasting well, too.

Alas, they did not come on Valentine's.
"Can't be responsible for weather delays"
But they arrived the following day and Rob cruelly suggested I greet the Fed Ex man weeping, saying, "It's too late we've already filed for divorce." to punish the world of transport for its lateness, but I did not.

Georgia nails it!

She ran through the song without even looking at the book!  "See what happens when you practice?"

Such a proud smile!

Moon through the window

Love when I can sneak a peak at her before bed and not have to get cold doing it.

Valentine's

I went for the family date again this year. It's our 24th anniversary and I wanted to go to the outdoor hot tubs and watch the full moon rise.  We went to Ginger Garden in Amherst. http://gingergardenamherst.com/ So good.  The management from the old China Gourmet in Greenfield moved their a couple years ago and the food is excellent and they are kind to loud children.

Then we went to Elements http://www.elementshottubspa.com/ in Amherst for the hot tubs. There were rose petals strewn in the hallways there. It was lovely. The children, really just Georgia, we're rowdy, splashy and taxing. Rob mumbled from the corner where he tried to relax as Georgia fell on him again and again, "Remember this for next year. No children." I agreed and Lily was insulted.  The moon rose in the chilly night sky. It was a pretty good time, certainly not relaxing, but I could have predicted that, I suppose.

Happy Valentine's day to you!!

Yet, another snow day

Cookie thinks, "Thanks for all the cushions in front of the fire!"
The girls have had so many snow days.  Inside from sledding,
now, turning houseplants into jungle props.

Evening comes quickly.

Sickie!

She's smiling with her nice warm lavender compress in action, but poor Georgia has the flu, with fever and misery.  This has been a difficult winter.  It feels like someone has been home sick or it's been a snow day since Christmas!

Delicious party

With amazing Japanese food at my friend Lena's house.  It was incredible. I discovered that I like Hot Sake, warmed on the wood stove.  Yum. Yum. Yum.

Everyone happily eating!

100th day of school is coming

So Georgia declares she must make 100 pom pom animals for her class.  She is very focused and methodical. Each one has its own personality.  There are snakes, bunnies, rats, dogs and mice so far.

Bringing Humphrey to the dentist

Humphrey is the class Hamster and Georgia got to bring him home today, which means he came to the dentist. He was very brave. See, Georgia has lost the other front top tooth. Wow!
