Last night I slept out

in the yard.
Finally!
I have been wanting to do it forever!

Here's the view from my bed at night. it was the new moon so there was no moonlight.

I promised the girls I would wake them and bring them out to join me if the Perseid meteor shower was spectacular (actually, they made me promise to wake them if I saw 2 meteors or more. I only saw one.)

But it was deeply satisfying to watch the sky as I drifted off to sleep. The bugs weren't bad, a few mosquitoes buzzed in the ear.

I woke up with my head under the covers and when I poked my head out - it was bright and sunny!
